Kirsten Seglem says, “As a dedicated client advocate, I believe that my duties involve a focus on personalization and the cultivation of long-term relationships, both of which will continue to provide value to those I serve.”
A Houston transplant, Kirsten grew up in a military family and has had the opportunity to live in over ten different states and four different countries. This exposure and first-hand experience laid the foundation for her extensive knowledge and understanding of the relocation process. Kirsten first fell in love with Houston while attending Rice University on an athletic scholarship and earning her Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Policy Studies and Kinesiology. She then worked in a dynamic role as the information technology coordinator and contract liaison to a petroleum product company serving the needs of and negotiating transactions for both local and international clientele. In addition, Kirsten started and ran her own graphic design company, expanding her expertise to include database management, website development, social media and SEO marketing products. Kirsten stresses that these strengths are pivotal in serving her clients and staying one-step ahead of an industry that is increasingly dependent on information technology. Before making the transition to professional real estate, Kirsten drew on her entrepreneurial nature, top-tier education, and interpersonal skills and became a self-employed professional poker player. Kirsten attributes her professional success to self-discipline as well as her aptitude in statistical analysis and problem solving. As an enthusiastic member of the community, she has supported the Blue Cure, Texans Foundation, Children’s Hospital, SCORE! Reading Program, Rice Outreach Mentoring Program, United Way, and even has her own dog rescue website. Kirsten enjoys working out, traveling and a good cup of coffee. She is a PADI certified scuba diver and holds a record for one of the biggest Mahi-Mahi ever caught in Cabo San Lucas.
Today, as a realtor, Kirsten says, “Houstonians enjoy some of the lowest housing costs in the nation which means waking up to all the perks of a big city without the heavy price tag. Ranked number one on Forbes’ annual list of America’s Fastest Growing Cities; I truly love and am proud to serve my clients in Houston, the city that offers endless possibilities.”
