Ronnie Hurst

I was born and raised in southwest Colorado and have recently moved to north central Idaho (Grangeville). Growing up 1 was raised in the outdoors, and I've continued that lifestyle as an adult. In the winter months I'm out snowmobiling testing the limits on where I can go on my sled. When spring arrives, I head out and look for antler sheds. Once the forest opens up from the winter snow, I head out four wheeling with the side by side, hiking, camping and fishing small creeks. Then fall comes around and I disappear into the woods hunting. My favorite is hunting elk during the rut with my bow. Theres really nothing like hunting bugling bulls during the rut. Also, when I have spare time I like to work on my old hot rods.

A little about my work history. I started in construction just out of high school running heavy equipment. I did that for over 10 years. I then started my own business manufacturing and building Antler Chandeliers and Aspen log furniture. After beating my body up with those occupations, I decided to get into real estate. I got my realtor's license and worked for C21 for 2 years then went out on my own where I had my own brokerage for 12 years. I came to realize that if I want to help preserve large parcels of property I needed to work for a company that specializes in that process, so I joined Hayden Outdoors. So, I'm giving up my own brokerage to work for the Hayden Outdoors Brand and plan to be with them till I retire someday.

My family is everything. I met my wife just out of high school and we've been very happily married for 34 years, and we had two children in that time. Our son graduated from high school then went to college. When he graduated from college he started his own business. He recently got married and has since had our first grandchild which I'm super excited about My daughter graduated high school then went on to get her master's degree and currently works for the forest service as a fisheries biologist. I wouldn't be anything without my family they are my driving force in life
