Since I was a young girl, I have had an immense reverence for the outdoors and nature. You could likely find me at the barn, or at the lake, rod in hand. Growing up, my family and I moved several times- from Pennsylvania, to North Carolina, to Texas. My love of the outdoors has brought me to live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I have been involved in Real Estate for the past two years, and I am so fortunate for the opportunity to integrate my love for the land into my career with Hayden Outdoors. I reside in Eagle, CO and enjoy the friendly feel of the small town community. I feel blessed to keep this way of life present, and share this beautiful lifestyle in my career. I was raised to appreciate a hard day of work, and to do every job to the best of my ability. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking or snowshoeing with my dogs and getting lost in the mountains for some fresh air. Come summer, you can find me with my fly rod, in the mountains on a good horse, shooting my bow, camping, and ending my day by the fire. Clayton graduated from Texas Tech University where he earned a BBA in International Business. He spent a year as a booking agent for Blair Worldwide Hunting located in Flagstaff, AZ before moving to Austin, TX where he worked as a property manager for Industrial Properties Corporation for 7 years. Clayton’s father unexpectedly passed away in 2006 and he began running the ranch and turning what was previously a low-profit enterprise into a thriving hunting and cattle ranch. My name is Drummond Lindsey and I am originally from New Braunfels, Texas. Colorado was always like a second home as my grandparents were third-generation Coloradoans and my family were farmers and ranchers from near Wray Colorado. We spent quite a bit of time here so when I moved from Texas to Colorado to live here full time in 2005 it felt like I was “coming home”.

I spent 28 years in the hunting industry as a guide and outfitter in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Idaho, Texas and Sonora Mexico. Working primarily on private land, I have learned the value of proper management of the land for wildlife and agriculture. I wasn’t a typical “outfitter” and to be honest, I’m not even really a fan of the word to describe what I did. I team up and work closely with landowners to help manage their ranches to reach their full potential. I work closely with multiple landowners as well as multiple state agencies as we manage the ranches we hunt and pride myself on pairing the right client with the right ranch. Sound familiar?

I have also introduced farmers and ranchers that had an interest in selling their property to potential buyers and they were able to get their deals done. These buyers and sellers were the very people that encouraged me to make farm and ranch real estate my profession.

My passion is assisting others in the outdoor world. I am as excited about helping a kid with their first deer as I am helping older hunters complete their goals of “grand slams” with sheep or being able to take a trophy of a lifetime. A.J. Mangum joined Hayden Outdoors in 2012 as a broker associate in Colorado. He grew up on a central Oregon ranch, and rode competitively in horse shows throughout the Pacific Northwest. He financed his college education with earnings from a commercial cattle herd he established as a teenager. After graduating from Oregon State University, A.J. began a 25-year career in journalism and publishing, working as a newspaper reporter and magazine editor, and writing extensively about the ranching culture. He was the editor of Western Horseman for a decade, and editor of Ranch & Reata for its full five-year run.
