I got married in 1988 to Matt Etchell at St. Rose Church in Santa Rosa, a local builder at the time and is now also in the transportation business, www.cablecarclassics.com. We rode a motorized cable car on our very first date! We raised our four children in Healdsburg, where they attended St. John's grammar school. A couple of our children attended Healdsburg High and a couple of them went on to Ursuline & Cardinal Newman. Our oldest son Matt Etchell Jr., a college graduate is a licensed contractor also now and our daughter Lorraine Etchell just graduated with her Masters from the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architect and is completing her internship to take her test in another year to be an architect. Our younger sons John & Ridge work for us. We are now grandparents 5x! Grandchildren are truly precious and grand-dogs too! Matt & I today, as our children are all grown, love to spend our free time together walking or picnicing at the beach mostly plus biking and hiking in Sonoma, Marin and San Francisco counties. We both feel blessed for our life here in the wine country and enjoy the Marina District in San Francisco and Crissy Field where we frequent on many weekends! We also love to travel all over.....
I worked briefly for a year in the Mortgage Business locally then moved to San Francisco. As a young adult I lived in the North Beach District in San Francisco and worked on the Waterfront in the tourism business for two Iconic Companies, Cable Car Charters Inc., a family owned company, no longer existing today, although a sister company does exists in Healdsburg since 1994, called Cable Car Classics Inc. The other tour Company I worked for was Hornblower Yachts Inc., located on the Waterfront, owned and opereated by a family friend Terry Macrae, a company that is well known to many for fun happy dining cruises on the SF Bay and has now taken on a partner and is looking forward to retirement in the years ahead.

In my younger years growing up here in the Country on the Russian River, I worked summers for a dear family friend, 'Bob Trowbridge', his canoe operations were another fun people business that was very memorable to me. Many people I saw at the weekend canoe operations and BBQ dinners we held on weekends were people who came from the City to the Country for the summer sunshine! Later at the age of 23, I followed in my Father's and Grandfather's footsteps into the world of Real Estate, they sold both in Sonoma County and San Francisco, very much a people business! I've enjoyed selling Real Estate for more than 30+ years in the Northern Bay area.
