The grass country of Northwest South Dakota is known for great weight gains and conception rates on livestock, and this ranch is no exception to that. The ranch has varied topography adding to the beauty ranging from badlands, springs, dams, rolling grassland to wooded draws that provide natural winter storm protection. The natural habitat of the ranch provides great cover and feed sources for the wide range of wildlife, including trophy deer, antelope, and grouse. Harding County is known for world class fossils, which many have been found on the ranch. The ZX Ranch is as good as an example of a Northwest South Dakota Ranch as it gets.
